GrainBank platform presents a new app: “GrainBank Farmer” targeted for the usage of Farmer community. This App is built with a fresh look & feel and brings forth an intuitive approach to the Farmers’ activities which can be performed in the app.

GrainBank is a Technology enabled marketplace focused on establishing market linkages for farmers, end buyers, and Banks/NBFCs through Grid-of-micro-warehouses at the farm-gate. In other words, it is a transformational bank for the farmer which leverages technology to seamlessly provide custodial services (warehousing), loans (warehouse receipt financing) and liquidity (market linkages) thereby enabling the farmer to convert his produce to a financial asset. Through our grid of digitally connected rural micro warehouses, we enable farmers to store their produce, avoid distress sales during harvest season, reduce wastage by scientific warehousing, tide over their immediate liquidity/ financing needs by working with NBFCs/ Banks and thereby empower farmers to sell their produce as and when they desire, thereby resulting in farmers achieving 25%-30% higher incomes.

GrainBank Farmer App offers the following key features:
• Agri Input Marketplace: Farmers can buy Agri Input products directly from the app, by utilising a portion of their stored grains value and avail direct product delivery at their Warehouses.
• Warehouse Request: Farmer can request a Warehouse service to inward the grains for storage or sale.
• Advanced Payment: Farmer can avail a loan on the grains stored in a Warehouse through a Bank/NBFC tied-up with GrainBank and can later pay off the loan by selling the grain stock or by direct payment to the bank.
• Stock Release: Farmer can get his stock back when he needs for self-use or for sale.
• Offers from Buyers in App and as phone alerts: Buyer offers are received by the Farmer as SMS as well as in the app. Farmer can pursue the offers in the app and perform a sale directly from the app.
• Sales Request: Farmer can request to sell the stock by request for a Sales Request.
• Statement of Account (SOA): Farmer can see transactions towards the grains stock in the Statement of Account in the app.
• Multi Language Support: Language support for 3 states in India: Bihar, Maharashtra, Karnataka and growing strong.
